Steven Kirman
From a young age participation within sport and exercise has been a pivotal part of my life in which my initial enthusiasm towards human physiology was developed. This interest combined with my past experiences of managing injuries sustained through activity is what has pushed me to complete my degree in Sports Therapy.
As a result of suffering from various injuries in the past, I understand the impact that injury can have on someone’s physical and psychological wellbeing. For this reason, being able to help an individual get back to doing what they want to do pain-free on a day to day basis is a huge motivational factor for me.
Throughout completing my degree in Sports Therapy, I have gained experience within both sporting and clinical settings to which my hands-on skills and working knowledge has been greatly tested and developed. During my previous work experiences I have had the pleasure of working with a range of clientele which varies anywhere from your everyday 9-5 office workers to elite level sportsman.
My previous exposure as a massage therapist specifically includes working in rugby at an amateur standard with Sutton Coldfield RFC and a professional standard with Scotland International rugby union, as-well-as work within a private injury clinic. In addition to this I have also been involved in providing soft tissue therapy to the runners of the 2019 London Marathon and to the cyclist of the 2019 Ride Across Britain event.
