It’s my job to help facilitate these changes so you can get the most out of your life.”

About
I qualified as a Matwork Level 3 Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates in London after 10 years of attending Pilates classes. I teach beginners and intermediate classes and I have completed my qualification as a Back4Good Practitioner which enables me to teach Healthy Back Classes and 1:1 private lessons. I work with my clients so they can become aware of their bodies and improve their technique. It is rewarding to see the improvement in their alignment, posture, strength and flexibility and in less pain as a result of injuries. I am constantly learning new ways to motivate, challenge and improve the daily life of clients so that they feel better physically and mentally but at the same time being sympathetic to their bodies by varying the exercises.

‘I think the best thing about the sessions is your inventiveness as a trainer. I look forward to each one as a challenge and an adventure, never a chore. Your philosophy of trying to integrate body mobility with everyday life really resonates with me and helps me to see the work we do together as fundamental to my health as good nutrition. You surprise and engage me with the sessions- I feel as though I am getting a programme which is tailored to my own personal needs.
Other trainers I have worked with rely heavily on repetitive sets of movements which quickly become dull. With you I feel as if I am learning how best to move my body and it helps that you explain the reasoning behind the work we do. I feel as if I am developing a stronger core and for the first time in my life I have considered the importance of improving my balance.’
‘Through my job as a Stunt Performer I have spent the last 20 years of my life being smashed into things that don’t move, this has caused some injuries that have left me with restricted movement. I have always had to have my injuries managed (chronic & acute) to allow me to continue to work and haven’t had the time or understanding to move past the restrictions previous injuries left me with.
Since lockdown training with Nala has given me the knowledge and techniques to help improve my movement. Nala has bridged the gap between managing my injuries through a therapist and regaining optimal movement. The training has helped to increase my strength in a new and improved range of movement, freeing restrictions and helping me move more dynamically. It’s like stripping back everything I thought I knew to learn how my body should be moving. The power of Nala’s training sessions are in focusing on my body’s needs rather than its default pattern of what it likes to do, taking my movement to sometimes uncomfortable places to make me comfortable with optimal movement patterns, that will keep me injury free. Improvements from all the years of physical abuse my body has taken will take time but I am improving week in week out. I would highly recommend training with Nala to anyone that is interested in performing at their best.’
